Short company description: We show our clients how to run more cost-effective marketing programs. Our strategies have been proven to be highly effective, efficient, and profitable. Unlike most consulting, we don’t just provide you with expert advice, we execute on the strategies we deliver.
The Biggest change in marketing that I see coming in the next 5 years is?: The allocation of marketing budgets drastically shifting from traditional forms of media such as print, radio, and TV advertising to relatively new forms of media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Linkedin.
Why is it important for a business to hire an outside ad agency as opposed to having just an internal marketing director?: Cost-effectiveness, an objective outlook, and the media buying leverage of an agency.
So tell us a little bit about your company and the services you offer your customers.
Sure. We provide cost consulting to small to medium sized businesses specifically on their digital marketing. We took a look take a look at everything from social media campaigns to search engine marketing programs. We also help people optimize their their Web site so they convert better analyzing their current traffic versus some potential opportunities for them.
How much time if any do you spend on outside of your target audience.
Well when we first start working with a client we identify current opportunities and missed opportunities as well and if there’s a way to both optimize their current marketing programs within their target market and help them tap into markets that they may not be currently accessing. We definitely make recommendations on how and why they could do that. So with with the trends going on what has been kind of the biggest changes you’ve seen over the past 12 to 24 months. Social media continues to be an ongoing process of change and innovation but programmatic is really playing a role. What I mean by that is artificial intelligence is being used to purchase and deliver different media. A lot of people don’t necessarily understand how that all out works and may not have access to the the technology to run those types of campaigns. But I do notice that economies of scale are getting access to technology at a much lower rate than they previously did.
Do you ever have any issues when you’re marketing a product maybe to older individuals?
What I’m noticing is that it’s growing right. Every social media channel starts off for the younger crowd. For example when Instagram first came out it was specifically targeting like the 13 to 21 demo. And over time what we’re seeing is older demographics are actually starting to use these platforms. And then you also have specifically things like Google and Alexa voice Google and these products that are actually created and developed specifically for an a larger and an older age demographic. So the use of this technology is becoming easier for the older folks and more accessible to them.
And any advice for someone that wants to start their own digital marketing firm. What’s a piece of advice you’d give them to help them get started.
I would say controlled growth is better than rapid growth. So be patient with it. Don’t be afraid to treat it as a side gig at first while you’re currently working at a day job. When I started that’s exactly what I did. I was working nine to five for a corporation and then I’d come home five thirty to nine o’clock at night I’d be I’d be working on my own agency to the point where it was sustainable enough to actually break free and do it full time.
