Why is it important for a business to hire an outside ad agency as opposed to having just an internal marketing director?: Large capabilities at a more affordable price than hiring a full time internal marketing director, 5 minds are greater than 1!

Who inspires you and why?: The success stories we hear from our clients and the employees we work with. It means that what we’re actually doing is working and that we can teach people (employees) how to unlock their inner confidence.

The Biggest change in marketing that I see coming in the next 5 years is?: Small tidbits of marketing/information. People are more likely to spend 2 hours with your brand if your advertising is broken up into segments.

Plum is a family run business and we got our start over 10 years ago in direct mail marketing. Saw really good opportunity to branch into the digital aspect of that side of marketing. And we’ve been doing that for the past couple of years seeing great success with it and really enjoying it so far.

So how did you yourself get started in the marketing world.

 

Ted Galluci

So my background is initially with private finance and I really catered from New York to Charlotte so it’s looking for a different industry to get into. Plum brought me on board to help them grow the business. And since day one we’ve done a great job not only for other clients but as far as the employees that they have, as far as teaching them the essentials of marketing, as far as SEO, SDM, and all these other services that we offer as well. They’ve done a great job teaching us that and really building the inner confidence as far as being able to communicate that.

What digital changes are you expecting to see in the marketing world over the next few years.

 

Ted Galluci

Little changes I’d expect to see over the next couple years are essentially segments or shorter lengths of social media ads, where people can watch them. When they break down these contents into smaller segments we engage longer for that particular brand. If that makes sense.

What’s the software that you guys use in your business that you really love and works really well with your clients.

 

Ted Galluci

We use software such as WordPress and good keyword planners for us to research but for Word Press that really is the responsive platform which allows us to be really creative as far as making a site and making sure that what we’re building up from the right foundation from day one so that everything we’re putting in place is going to make the client happy so that we’re able to hit the ground running when we’re ready to launch that site.

So for Plum itself when it comes to your clients what advice would you give to people that typically would come to your company.
