How does Yardeni Group stand out from other marketing companies?
What makes us unique is the offerings that we have to our clients. Our goal with our clients is not to have them for two, three, four or five years but to have them for one year or two years maximum. We help them create an internal team, where they don’t need an agency to support them anymore. People really want to internalize their companies and they don’t want to outsource anymore, they want to have full control of what’s happening.
What do you feel the biggest change in advertising over the next two years is going to be?
There’s been a tremendous push towards digital advertising. I think what’s going to start to happen in the next two years is traditional is going to start building up again. Traditional media will become integrated with digital.
What are some of the tools in your tool chest that you use to maximize, whether it is analytics or deliverables, for your customers?
We built systems for our clients, so we all have our own internal systems. We use Trello, which is an amazing system where we can actually put the client on to see the day to day tasks and update them as to what’s happening. We use Google and other analytics for SEO optimization.
What advice do you have for someone starting their own digital firm?
The first thing you need to do is find a specialty, for example, the medical field where you could be working with doctors. Find something you are passionate about. Make sure you understand your customers really well and then in addition I mean just to grow your business. I would say I always never spend money on advertising until you have a good referral system in place.
