What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in your business?

The biggest obstacle I had to overcome in my business was the business of being and doing creative work.

Get very niche in who you serve.

The Biggest change in marketing that I see coming in the next 3 years is?

More virtual, digital, AI.

What inspired you to get into marketing?

It’s a lifelong generational story. My father is in advertising marketing, he used to work for People magazine and my grandfather used to work for Life magazine and Newsweek magazine. We probably traced it all the way back to oh I don’t know, probably about the 1700s where my great great grandfather picked up a church in Sicily. It’s kind of like a family thing. My daughter’s into it, everybody’s got that gift in my family, which is great.

What makes HitState Marketing unique?

We’re a marketing company and a channel agnostic marketing company. We really believe in marketing, we don’t really necessarily care about the channel that we use whether it’s digital online or offline, TV, radio, print, guerrilla marketing. We don’t really care what the channel is or the vehicle is. We’d like to say all we care about is the idea of marketing and marketing simply as the process of your product or service.

What is a recent success story of yours?

We had a client, a divorce attorney. She wanted more people to engage with her so we created a whole campaign that was direct mail, it was social media and it was also social media messaging. She saw results that were just incredible, results that she has never seen before. Again, it goes to how do you reach your customers. There’s so many different ways that you can reach your customers digitally, socially and online. It’s definitely more prevalent than it has been ever.
