Who Is Lee Goff?

I Am An Entrepreneur Who Grew Up In The Deep South, Raised In Pascagoula, Mississippi By People Who Taught Me To Work Hard And Do What Is Right. I Started My First Agency, GETUWired, In 2003 In My Upstairs Bedroom With Absolutely Nothing. After Growing GETUWired Into A Multi-Million Dollar Agency, Winning 2012 Technology Partner Of The Year, 2013 Infusionsoft Innovator Of The Year, Top Company Culture – Entrepreneur Magazine In 2015, And Infusionsoft Elite Business Of The Year Finalist In 2015, And Many More Accomplishments, I Decided To Step Out And Retire. I Took The Advice Of Jim Collins And The Infusionsoft Leadership And Began Handing Off Leadership Responsibilities, Eventually Leading To My Retirement From The Agency In Early 2014. Then In June Of 2016 I Sold Out The Remaining Shares To My Long Time Partners To Pursue My Passion Of Mentoring Small Businesses. What is a tip for success that you would provide someone in your same industry?

Pick a specific direction for your agency and productize ASAP. The future of our industry is in productization and the sooner you can adopt a productization pricing model for your niched out agency, the sooner you will break through the 7/8 figure mark.

What is Your Marketing Agency Coach?

I specializing in servicing digital and marketing agencies. I sold my agency and it was one of the most sought out marketing automation agencies in the country, possibly the world. Now I coach marketing agencies to help them achieve what I did at my agency and I’m hoping to help them achieve what I did but dramatically faster with a lot less stress.

What has been so successful in your process?

I’m a serial entrepreneur. So I have multiple businesses and so they’re actually two different answers to that question. In my agency, the one I sold in 2016, we hyper focused on our target audience being the small business owner looking to optimize their systems and processes with digital. Now I’ve taken that same mindset and learned the lesson from my agency and hyper focused my target audience into servicing digital agencies. A very similar path but a different answer on this side. What I’m doing is I’m generating a ton of content hyper focused after my target audience and I’m building a base, laying a foundation, and I get tons and tons of requests. I’m selling thousands of books and products and programs across the world. I love giving back to the community that has served me so well for the past 18 to 19 years now.

What has been the biggest change in marketing over the past few years?

At the top of the list it used to be called web marketing. Then it went to Internet marketing and now it is called digital marketing. It went from where everything you did was basically a kind of a PowerPoint presentation to artificial intelligence and the automation capabilities small business owners have today. They can legitimately compete against Fortune 500 companies. It’s a wonderful wonderful thing.

Tell us a little bit about what you’ve done for your clients in a post-COVID environment.

For all of my one to one coaching students I actually deferred all payments for three and half or four months for all of them to help the cash flow. I can’t do as good as a care loan or whatever but I do what I can. I have also been giving away some free courses and things like that. In times like this, I have found it’s better to do moral compass marketing. Just do the right thing. right now.
