The experiences of our team and the clients we’ve served have created a unique set of skills and experiences from which we can draw when serving a client.

How do you define success?

In business, success is establishing mutual trust and respect with clients. This business is all about people. Both agency and client staff have to collaborate and that requires trust and respect. Personally, being in a happy family where I love and am loved back is the height of success.

What are three of your favorite marketing software that you use and why?

Harvest: Tracks the billing and hours which ties back to profitability. It’s not technically marketing software, but without it, I can’t run my marketing agency.

Sharpspring: Very practical marketing automation, CRM and email marketing package that’s reasonably priced, thoughtfully designed, and delivers value.

Google Adwords: Great set of tools and resources.

There will still be a shortage of really good digital talent because the colleges haven’t adapted to their curriculum to align with the needs of digital marketing (in-house or agency).

What got you into this line of business?

I realized at the age of 26 that I was essentially unemployable. I was a chemistry major with jazz music as a minor, obviously conflicted, and was not a very good employee. I was always the guy that was trying to innovate or figure out a different way of doing things. When you’re 26, people don’t want you to figure out a different way of doing things, they want you to follow the systems and processes. So my best friend from college and I started a business in the spring of 1992. I’ve been doing this my entire adult life.
