What are your top media buying and planning blogs?
Digiday is a good blog to turn to in order to see what’s coming on digitally. I also like seeing what different agencies are doing on LinkedIn. Instagram’s another great way to look at demographics etc. Those are the different sites that I go to to see what’s up and coming, what new products are out there and if there’s any new partners out there that I haven’t heard of yet.
How do demographics affect your media plans?
Demographics affect media plans greatly because I want to make sure I’m hitting that demographic. It wouldn’t make sense if my demographic is more geared towards females but I’m putting my campaign on stations or networks that are geared more towards a male audience. There’s no one size fits all. Demographics play a huge role when building a plan and the research will show this demographic is consuming these types of media, is listening to these stations, watching these networks. We want to be a part of that because we want to reach that audience.
