About Montz marketing:

Established in 1998 Montz marketing has its roots in traditional advertising. The founder of the company, my father, Hank Montz, ran a ski resort for 15 years prior to opening the agency so we fell into recreation is still out niche. Since we have a background in research and mostly traditional it is key, if you are going to provide an actual full service agency to have a sophisticated digital partner. We were lucky enough to start working with Shawn Bowman, owner of IdeaSeat about eight years ago and he is extremely innovative, has unmatched data acquisition and coding skills which has led to cutting edge development all the while handling SEO, SEM, App development etc. We are a full service macro to micro data driven advertising partnership. Most importantly, the client gets a cohesive campaign and strategy from A-Z. To ensure transparency all dashboards have an roi tab where application and we are fully automated so there in no wasted time or money.

In the Next 5 years, the biggest change to marketing will be what?

I think we are just seeing the tip of the ice berg with big data. Each consumer wants personalization and The best way to find that personalization is through data acquisition. With Alexa and Google homes become in every day household items we will seek to personalize more and more.

What percent of your advertising service offerings does media buying make up?

Why is it important for a business to hire an outside ad agency as opposed to having just an internal marketing director?

And internal marketing director has to wear a lot of hats at any given time during the day. I do not mean this as a slight by any means but it is important to hire an outside agency because we are the professionals and this is what we do on a daily basis. I know the first words out of most agencies mouse are I can buy better than the next guy which who knows if it’s true or not but I know I can buy better than a marketing director just from experience and relationships that I have formed over the years. Which I have learned over the years that the most important part of business is the relationships you make. A good marketing director should facilitate and work very closely with the agency so everyone is on the same page
